How long would you think is a realistic time, until our society as a whole is able to look at things in the bigger picture and be able to change their ways for the better?

First, I’d like to take this chance to thank you, Ms. Taylor, for taking the time to talk to our class. Not many students have the opportunity to talk to such a well-accomplished person as yourself, about the real world problems that our society faces. It gives us a chance to have somebody to really look up to and try to be like as we grow up.

In this article, Ms. Taylor talks about the negative consequences of continuing a purely meat-based diet. She also goes on to talk about the steps we have to take, as a society, in order to slow down the world crisis. As a meat-eater myself, I have a hard time thinking about a diet without any meat in it. Even considering the plant-based foods recently being introduced. It isn’t impossible, but it would surely be very difficult. It’s just that there’s a lot of very uneducated people in the world, they really put themselves out there during this pandemic. It’ll be hard to convince those kind of people that meat-based diets are saving the world, without them bringing up their freedom being impeded. Other than that, it shouldn’t be too difficult to get rid of eating of pure meat-based diets; just very time-consuming. Which is very scary because we do not have much more time on this planet in the first place. Leading into my final question, how long would you think is a realistic time, until our society as a whole is able to look at things in the bigger picture, and be able to change their ways for the better?
